Christopher obtained a First in Architecture at Sheffield University and was awarded the Sheffield Society of Architecture Prize, The Stephen Walsh Prize in Architecture and a Travelling Prize for architectural research, culminating in a Distinction in Diploma of Architecture.
After leaving university in 1985 he went straight into private practice, and now
heads Mitchell Berry Architects.
After graduating in architecture from the Victoria University of Manchester, Joshua
worked on several private residential projects for Bowerbank Brett and Lacey, before
returning to Manchester for his Bachelor of Architecture, in which he achieved
a Distinction in his dissertation.
In 1996, he joined the Manser Practice in London, where he was project architect
on a number of major commercial buildings, most notably, the new British High
Commission in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. In 2003 he set up Plastik Architects and in
2008 joined Christopher Mitchell in practice, becoming a partner the following year.
Recently Joshua has completed a number of high quality residential commissions,
which are characterised by his attention to architectural detail, and knowledge of
both traditional and contemporary methods of construction.
